The ACHS is truly a labor of love dedicated to the memory of Bruce Duchossois, and we hope that we can continue to honor his memory in a manner in which he would be proud.
The Aiken Charity Horse Shows remain a highlight of the Aiken Horse Park Foundation's yearly calendar. Since their inception we have made every effort to honor Bruce’s legacy by remaining true to his original vision of producing a traditional horse show with hospitality for all. It was also very important to him that the show schedule was such that the day ended at a reasonable hour each afternoon so exhibitors could enjoy the town of Aiken.
We are equally gratified to know that the success of our shows these last few years have translated into $110,000 distributed to a variety of local and national charities representative of Bruce’s pledge to increase public awareness of and support for the prevention and elimination of the abuse of children, elderly and abused persons and for the prevention of cruelty to animals.
The success of our event and its beneficiaries truly depends on the generosity of friends, exhibitors and corporate sponsors and the only way a boutique exhibitor friendly horse show such as this can work and stay true to Bruce’s vision is through that support.
